Fixing Wi-Fi with a Cross (X) on the Icon

If your Wi-Fi icon shows a X, it means your device is not connected to any network. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

🔧 Method 1: Quick Fix from the Taskbar

  1. Open Wi-Fi Options
    • Click the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar.
    • Then click the “>” arrow next to the Wi-Fi icon to expand the list of available networks.
  1. Forget the Network
    • Locate the network (e.g., WIRELESS-2.4 or WIRELESS-5)
    • Right-click the network and select “Forget”.
  1. Reconnect
    • Click the Wi-Fi icon again.
    • Select your network from the list.
    • Enter your username and password to reconnect.
